CSR- Corporate Social Responsibility
We have always woven good CSR practices in every facet of corporate governance, for the upliftment of our immediate society. We believe that the only way to bridge the gap between an underprivileged and privileged society, is the concern we show towards community and environment (both ecological and social).
Which is why we started the Green Nurturing Program (GNP), our flagship CSR program, in a phased manner.
As part of this initiative, we carried out Tree plantation activity at . Higher Primary Schools of Bommenahalli, Huyilalu & Nagavala, The school children also participated in the World Environment Day celebrations, with the event highlight being the inter school debate competition.
We donated CFL bulbs as part of the energy conservation drive, dustbins to collect wet and dry waste, first aid boxes, and stationary for school children.
We also conducted awareness programs on water conservation and solid waste segregation. Our employees participated in this initiative as well, and helped spread awareness about plastic free zones in neighboring places around our workplace.
To cap it all, we won the 4th place among 25 industrial institutions from Mysore, Mandya and Nanjangud, during Phase I of the Green Nurturing Program.
From 2013 our CSR initiative renamed as 'Unnati'.
AIM of ‘UNNATI -To achieve progress/development in our neighboring educational organizations, by building long-lasting relationships with them. And therefore, voluntarily contributing to a better society and cleaner environment.
We carry out activities like environment/civic awareness, infrastructure/maintenance and skill development/extra curriculum activities.
As part of our environment/civic awareness initiative, we constantly endeavor to mobilize the teeming masses of people, whose equal concern towards protecting our environment, can actually make a big difference.
We also carry out infrastructure and maintenance work in remotely-located schools, because we want to empower the kids of every village, with the basic necessity of education.
Extra-curricular activities are very necessary for the growth and development of these children. Which is why, we are in the urge of continual growth and development of kids' morale.
Skill development programs are conducted for underprivileged rural women, as we believe that their contribution in a family is huge. We have therefore, always striven to work towards its fulfillment, with the singular motto of 'WE HELP TO HELP THEMSELVES'.
Our long term vision
In the long run, we intend to bridge the gap between socially-economically backward communities and socially-settled communities. We are working on areas like self-employment for rural women, upliftment of talented but economically weak children; and making the future generation, both morally and socially strong.
